Paid subscriptions will soon be available on Instagram. After the tremendous success of platforms like Patreon and OnlyFans, some social media sites have started to allow users to financially support the people they follow. Instagram is getting ready to do so, as the Meta-owned platform prepares to debut a new subscription for creators.
Paid subscriptions for Instagram from $0.99 to $4.99
The Instagram app for iOS has recently been updated, according to analytics firms Sensor Tower and Apptopia. The Instagram Subscriptions in-app purchases were introduced, with prices ranging from $0.99 to $4.99.
These in-app purchases are most likely a part of Instagram’s plan to continue monetizing the platform while also allowing consumers to contribute money to the people they follow and adore. With these in-app purchases appearing on the App Store, we may expect an official announcement of the new feature soon.
As Instagram confirmed earlier this year with the introduction of “Exclusive Stories,” which would be accessible only to those who pay for them, a subscription to support creators isn’t exactly breaking news.
This year, Twitter also introduced a similar function called Super Follow, which allows content providers to give special content to their followers.
