The commercial is named “This is going to be fun” and it shows a group of pals attending a museum. They pause at a famous painting to admire the piece’s splendor and notice something odd. The animals in the painting begin to move and transform into three-dimensional figures. They are drawn into Facebook’s metaverse by the artwork.
Lately, the company announced that it will no longer use facial recognition software to scan photos on Facebook. The firm also said it will delete all of the data gathered with this technology.
They made a statement on the subject: “This change will represent one of the largest shifts in facial recognition usage in the technology’s history. More than a third of Facebook’s daily active users have opted in to our Face Recognition setting and are able to be recognized, and its removal will result in the deletion of more than a billion people’s individual facial recognition templates.”
