Instagram is ready for Live Shopping events for the holidays, the platform will offer unique product announcements and influencer suggestions to assist boost interest.
Instagram Shop gets new features
The platform will hold several shopping-based broadcasts for the next two months of the year, beginning this week.
Instagram stated in a blog post: “On Fridays in November, (November 5, 12, 19) look out for the #BuyBlack Live Shopping series to discover brands from talented Black creators. From December 5 – 15, we’re hosting a Holiday Pop-Up Shop LIVE series. Picture the magic and charm of a holiday market, but from the comfort of your couch.”
Instagram will also show weekly collections called “Guest Edits” from influencers, beginning with a fresh gallery by Paloma Elsesser.
Instagram is also debuting new “Gift Guides” based on the price range on the Shop page, which will highlight items in variable pricing (up to $250), and it’ll also post fresh insights from the Instagram Shop staff on key seasonal trends. Users will be able to enter the “Holiday Picks” from the Shop page to be able to enjoy this feature. on the Shop tab in the app.
Finally, Instagram is looking to assist businesses to maximize their holiday sales by offering a 20% discount for the first purchase made in the app and free delivery on purchases that meet certain conditions.
According to the @jaketheadnerd from Twitter, Facebook is informing merchants that they may apply for $15 in shopping credits on purchases, which will be paid out at the end.
