Qualcomm unveils four new Snapdragon mobile chips

Qualcomm offers four new SoCs with upgrades, these are the new models: Snapdragon 778G+, 480+ 5G, 695 5G and 680 4G.

Despite the fact that we are experiencing a global chip shortage, Qualcomm is not afraid to introduce new products. There are 4 new Snapdragon chipsets on the way.

Qualcomm launches 4 new Snapdragon chipsets

The Snapdragon 778G and Snapdragon 480 5G are getting new upgrades. Those chips are used by brands such as Motorola, OnePlus, Nokia and TCL.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ 5G and 480+ 5G mobile chipsets get minor clock speed increases, with the latter losing Wi-Fi 6 readiness but gaining Bluetooth 5.2 rather than 5.1.

All four chipset families are now expected in OEM devices set to debut this quarter.

The Snapdragon 695 5G includes support for sub-6 and millimeter-wave frequencies, as well as the Kryo 660 CPU with Adreno 619 GPU on a 6nm process. Wi-Fi 5 is also supported in addition to Bluetooth 5.2. The display performance of the device is restricted to 1080p at 120Hz.

The Snapdragon 680 4G will include a Snapdragon X11 LTE modem, FastConnect 6100 Subsystem, Spectra 246 ISP, QC3 support. The chipset will be aimed at budget-friendly devices that offer FHD+ displays with the highest refresh rate of 90Hz.

All four chipset families are now expected in OEM devices set to debut this quarter.
