Huawei HarmonyOS-powered electric car is on the way. The Arcfox Alpha S EV, although not exactly “Huawei’s automobile,” will be the first to run HarmonyOS as its operating system.
The company has officially announced that it will begin the production and delivery for a small batch of Arcfox Alpha S units in the fourth quarter of this year.
In a relatively restricted market like automobiles, it’s true that many firms have taken longer to figure out that today’s vehicles are almost gadgets with wheels. Of course, Xiaomi is already working on its Automobile division to compete with its first electric cars in a few months, while other significant players in the mobile industry are currently providing cutting-edge connectivity technologies to replace obsolete proprietary systems.
Huawei HarmonyOS-powered electric car
This is the story of a Huawei that raises the stakes on Carplay and Android Auto, implementing its new HarmonyOS system in an electric vehicle for the first time, which was collaborated on with BAIC and debuted as Arcfox Alpha S EV.
You’ll consider it isn’t really “the Huawei car” because of the quotations, but rather a vehicle fueled by Huawei and developed by BAIC that is currently being assembled. According to our sources at GizmoChina, this first batch of vehicles will be delivered in a limited way in the coming weeks, before even finishing this identical training program in 2021.
