Today, Microsoft is releasing a new update which addresses some problems related to AMD CPU performance on Windows 11. AMD and Microsoft discovered two problems with Windows 11 on Ryzen processors.
Windows 11 AMD CPU performance issues fixed
One of them, which increased L3 cache latency by a factor of three, reduced performance by up to 15% in specific games. Microsoft has already addressed this problem in Windows 11 Build 22000.282, which is now offered as an optional update for all Windows 11 users.
The second major problem relates to AMD’s preferred core technology, which moves threads from the slowest core onto the fastest. This second bug, according to AMD, might affect performance on CPU-based activities, and AMD has already released a new driver called version 3.10.08.506 to solve the issue.
Not only that but this new update for Windows 11 also solves some issues related to the Start menu. If you are interested go to this link to be able to see the full patchnotes.
