Samsung debuted its Smart Monitor in December 2020, when the need for smart displays as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic grew increasingly apparent. Samsung has announced that it has sold over 600,000 units of the monitor globally since its release.
It was no secret that the pandemic was going to change many of our personal and professional habits. In fact, already during the hardest months of the confinement, many sectors proved to be equally productive with home office practices.
The Samsung Smart Monitor is a Tizen-powered smart monitor with a built-in smart hub, allowing you to services such Netflix, Samsung TV Plus, and YouTube without PC.
Samsung‘s new smart desktop monitors have been a great sales success, totaling more than 600,000 units delivered since its launch in the middle of last year, in sizes ranging from 27 inches to 43 inches.
Samsung Smart Monitors even come equipped with a wireless remote that allows you to easily navigate in its interface, in addition to voice operation via Bixby and integrated speakers too. The aim is avoiding the need for external peripherals or accessories.
Reviews from both users and professionals have been more than positive, and perhaps that is why Hye-Seung Ha, executive vice president of Visual Display Business at Samsung, was proud of the monitors they have created:
“Samsung Smart Monitor is an innovative product that has completely positioned itself as a new category in the ‘home life’ era.”
