Xbox is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a slew of little touches, some big surprises, and all dedicated to the company’s origins. The official website has been adorned with the colors of Xbox 360, a gaming machine that was first produced in 2005.

If you enter the official Xbox site, you will immediately notice the look inspired by this console of the past, looking like the dashboard that marked an entire generation. This change affects all users equally, regardless of where they reside.

It also helps if the website’s design has changed. It might not be enough to transport you back in time, but having Back 4 Blood as the first thing we notice when we visit the internet certainly helps. In case you don’t remember, Left 4 Dead, a title developed by the same people behind Back 4 Blood, shined during the Xbox 360 years.

Is this a hint that Microsoft has something up its sleeve? There’s a possibility, but we’ll just have to wait and see. For the time being, all we can do is appreciate the brand’s attention to detail with this redesign, which is a thoughtful nod to an earlier era.

Xbox promised 6 months of surprises, and November 15 will mark 20 years since the arrival of the first Xbox and Halo. Will we see an announcement on that date?
