For at least several months, WhatsApp has been developing new reaction features. Now, there are more leaks regarding these new features.
According to the leaks provided by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp’s new beta version, 2.21.210.15, includes the ability to control reaction notifications through new settings that allow you to turn them off or change their tone.
New message reactions might come to WhatsApp’s iOS version soon
Thanks to this new tool, users can be informed (or not) in the same manner as messages and group notifications by new reactions. Although WhatsApp is working on this feature, it is still only available to beta testers.
WABetaInfo claimed that messages might have an infinite number of reactions, but they won’t be counted after reaching 999, instead a “+” symbol will be shown. Another crucial detail to keep in mind is that reactions aren’t anonymous, so individuals will be able to identify who reacted with what emoji in a group chat.
Multi-device support 2.0 is also being developed
Whatsapp has been developing a feature called multi-device support 2.0, which will bring an iPad app and enable users to connect to the program even if they don’t have access to the internet with their phones. Right now, WhatsApp’s desktop software is available in public beta. The multi-device beta program allows you to use WhatsApp on up to four devices linked without requiring a smartphone connected to the internet.
