Later today (October 18), Apple is holding its “Unleashed” event which will be streamed live. The new Apple devices expected to debut at the virtual event include a fresh MacBook Pro and Mac mini, which will be powered by an M1X chip.
There are also indications that Apple will debut the new AirPods 3 along with the new Mac computers. We also anticipate the launch of macOS Monterey, which is the operating system that was unveiled at WWDC in June.
How to watch Apple’s October “Unleashed” event?

What to expect from Apple’s October “Unleashed” event?
It’s anticipated that Apple will reveal all remaining news at its “Unleashed” event today. We’ve seen the new iPhone 13 series, new iPad and iPad mini models, and the Apple Watch Series 7 in the last presentation. The new MacBook Pro is likely to be the most important device at today’s Apple event.
MacBook Pro
The most anticipated Apple event of the year is around the corner, and it’s expected to include new MacBook Pro models with 14- and 16-inch display choices — both feature a new Apple chip.
It’s possible that the new model will be called the M1X. Experts say it will feature four additional high-performance cores over M1. Apple’s new CPU is also expected to support more graphics cores. The M1 had a maximum of eight graphics cores, whereas the new processor will reportedly have up to 32 of them.
Mini-LED displays are also said to be included in the next MacBook Pro versions. The new MacBook Pros may also eliminate Apple’s Touch Bar and the new versions will most likely come with an SD card reader and an HDMI port.
Mac mini
The Mac mini is also expected to see an upgrade at today’s Apple event, with the M1X chip reportedly found in the new MacBook Pro models. The next-generation Mac mini will include four Thunderbolt ports instead of two on the low-end model. It might also be advertised as a “Pro” option for people searching for a portable desktop solution.
AirPods 3
Apple is set to reveal its AirPods 3 at the event today. The new AirPods are expected to have a look similar to that of the AirPods Pro.
macOS Monterey
The release date of macOS Monterey could be the last news from Apple’s event today. In June 2021, Apple unveiled the new macOS alongside iOS 15, iPadOS 15, and watchOS 8 at WWDC. But it is not yet available to the public.
