Apple has just announced the M1 Pro and M1 Max designed for professional computers, the new MacBook Pro. According to the company it is 70% faster than the M1. Apple M1 Max comes with 57 billion transistors which is a whooping figure, whereas M1 Pro has 33.7 billion instead.
Apple M1 Pro and M1 Max will power new MacBooks
As expected, these new chips are real beasts in every way, and Apple has once again boasted about them. Apple says these chips offer a lot less power consumption than its competitors, both in GPUs and in CPUs.
Both chips contain a 5nm 10-core CPU with eight high-performance cores and two high-efficiency cores. The M1 Pro comes with a 16-core GPU while the Max offers 32 graphics cores. In comparison, the M1 last year was an eight-core processor with eight GPU cores. The M1 Pro features up to 32GB RAM and 200 GB/s of bandwidth, while the M1 Max has up to 64GB.
According to this data, by upgrading to a MacBook Pro, users will experience a much greater performance boost.
