The developer studio has been active on the New World forums throughout its first day of release. Amazon Games added new worlds to the EU Central, North America West, North Australia and America East servers with the intention of providing a more equal distribution of players. With the team promising to keep an eye on worldwide traffic, it’s certainly reasonable to anticipate further developments.

If you’re looking to join the new MMO, there’s a fanmade website called New World Status. This website provides real-time data on player counts throughout the world, as well as estimated average queue times for each in-game world.

It’s likely that even Amazon was taken by surprise by New World’s incredible hype on launch day. It became Steam’s most-played game with over 700,000 concurrent players on the first day of its launch. Valheim’s previous record was shattered in a hurry.
