According to its developer, Wallpaper Engine will be released for Android in October or November, and it will work with phones running Android 8.1 and higher versions.
We’re seeing how applications and games that were previously only available on computers are now coming to our phones, and one excellent example is Call of Duty: Mobile.
We have also discovered that Wallpaper Engine, one of the most popular tools for creating animated wallpapers on Windows, will soon be available for Android: the famous PC program will eventually have a free mobile version.
The arrival of Wallpaper Engine on Android is great news for customization enthusiasts
As announced by the developer of Wallpaper Engine himself on the Steam blog, the mobile version of his app will arrive on Android in October or November and will be compatible with smartphones running Android 8.1 or later versions.
In this news, the creator of a well-known PC software has announced that his Android app will be a free add-on to the paid Windows desktop program, which costs $3.99.
This mobile application will allow us to transfer our wallpaper collections from the desktop app to our Android mobile or tablet by connecting both devices to the same Wifi network.
To be able to implement this, the wallpapers will need to be changed to a form that is compatible with our mobile devices, but only if they were made by creators who have signed the Steam Workshop agreement.
The mobile version of Wallpaper Engine will also allow us to build a playlist including the greatest wallpapers, set a FPS restriction on them, and import video and gifs from our phones.
Users may download the desktop version of Wallpaper Engine for Windows for free and without any advertisements or in-app purchases, but to use it, they must have purchased the Android version.
