Today, if you want stickers for WhatsApp, you may choose from the application’s packs or obtain other packs or make your own with specialized programs. Another choice for WhatsApp on PC is to send a photo as a sticker instead of a video.
The beta version of WhatsApp Desktop, as reported by WaBetaInfo, adds a button when sending a photo that transforms it into a sticker before sending it. As a result, rather than appearing huge, the photo appears to be smaller and more like a sticker.
Send photos as stickers with WhatsApp
There are several methods to make stickers nowadays, but in each instance, you’ll need to use an external program and produce the sticker pack. It isn’t too difficult, but it does take some effort.
Apparently, this will not be necessary soon, at least with the help of Whatsapp Desktop, the version for Windows and Mac. The current version adds some more editing tools to the mix, and a button to send a photo as a sticker will be added in future updates.
For the time being, sending a photo as a sticker instead of as a picture is extremely easy because the button merely has to be pressed. As a result, when tapping on it, it’s at a lower resolution and doesn’t take up much space when opened.
There may be modifications before it enters consumers, but there is currently no extra option or crop: the sticker is made equal to the picture.
According to WaBetaInfo, sending photos as stickers is in development on WhatsApp Desktop but curiously not on WhatsApp for Android or iOS, at least for the moment. As always, we have no news on when it could be activated for users.
