In this post, we’ll talk about Spotlight suggestions and how-tos. Have you ever wondered what that little magnifying glass symbol in the menu bar on your iPhone or iPad is and why when you click on it, a window appears with a brief form labeled “Search” inside?

As you can see, Spotlight is a powerful tool that lets us find almost anything. This is the most common Spotlight feature and it’s built into iOS and macOS. It provides the option to search for a file, document, or even a text fragment within that paper.

However, its capabilities don’t simply stop there, as it may also be quite beneficial when it comes to rapidly launch an application, opening folders, or even providing us with the weather.

What is Spotlight and what is it for?

Spotlight is basically one of the many useful tools that we find on our iPhone or iPad, and that is also available on other Apple devices, as could be the case of the Mac or Macbook.

It is a convenient option to quickly and easily search for what we want at all times, from files to applications, through even contacts, emails, or almost any information.

It’s also a great way to perform quick calculations without having to open our phone’s calculator, or having to search through various options in order to discover it.

Launching an application

Spotlight’s ability to quickly launch an app without having to go to the applications menu is one of the major benefits it provides us. Spotlight can even quickly direct us to the App Store page where we may download any application we are seeking for.

If you want to discover the app, just go to the Spotlight search field and type in the name of the program. You’ll see how, as you input, start to display apps that are relevant to your terms.

To open it, just click on the application, and the system will start it easily.
