Customers can begin reserving their new phones starting at 5 a.m. Pacific Time, or approximately six hours from now.
The iPhone 13 lineup comes in the same screen size configurations as the iPhone 12, and the starting prices have also not changed. However, Apple has doubled the 128GB-based storage on the cheaper iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini models.
New capabilities include more high-resolution cameras, cinematic mode videos with simulated focus extraction, quicker GPU performance as part of the A15 chip, and far longer battery life. The Pro models now have a 3x zoom lens and a 120Hz high refresh rate display, allowing for super-smooth scrolling and animations.
Apple announced the iPhone 13 lineup at its media event on Tuesday. Apple also unveiled a $329 iPad with improved specs and a completely redesigned iPad mini. Those devices were purchased as soon as the event was over.
Apple also announced the Apple Watch Series 7 this week, featuring a tweaked industrial design with even larger displays, thanks to reduced bezels. The Series 7 will not be available until later this fall, according to Apple. We don’t know exactly when it’ll be available for purchase because the release date has not yet been announced. The company only stated that it would become accessible “later this fall.”
