With Android 12 beta 5, Google warned us that the final release of Android 12 was “a matter of weeks” away. Now we have a possible actual date for the release of Android 12, thanks to some leaked paperwork from XDA
The document in question shows the dates on which they will cease to accept software versions based only on Android versions. From what we can tell from the data, Android 12 is expected to be released sometime between October 4 and January 5 of 2021 (Google keeps its own version).
Android 12 in four weeks
According to the document obtained by XDA, Google plans to release Android 12 code to AOSP on October 4. Until now, Google has released the code on AOSP at the same time the official version of Android was made official.
Thus, the other dates that appear in the document correspond to the release of previous versions of Android: Android 11 was official on September 8, 2020, Android 10 did the same on September 3, 2019, and it would be logical to think that October 4 will be the date on which Android 12 will have its final version ready.
The Android 12 stable update may be released on October 4, as that's when Google plans to release to AOSP. This tentative release date was also mentioned by a 3PL. pic.twitter.com/PMN802gQj0

As always, if this date is confirmed, that same day Android 12 would be officially launched for the Google Pixel 3 onwards and, perhaps, some models of other brands that have been part of the beta program.
Nothing has been confirmed by Google at this point. The last thing the firm said on the topic was with the release of Android 12 Beta 5, which stated that “We are only a few weeks away from Android 12’s official launch.”There could always be a change of plans and delays, so we are waiting for official confirmation from Google.
