The death of Steve Jobs was a huge setback in many aspects for Apple, not only in the business. However, the company was left “in the hands” of Tim Cook, a CEO who has proven to be competent and effective despite not having the approval of all executives.

Tim Cook considers resigning after another “big launch”

After almost ten years at the helm, Tim Cook is considering stepping aside after the presentation of a major new product and resigning. This is how the Cupertino company, which is not going to leave anything to chance, plans its medium-term future without Tim Cook.

According to Mark Gurman, this analyst who sells us smoke as well as pure gold, has been doubtful about the continuity in time of Tim Cook, the current and prolific CEO of Apple who has managed to break the essence of the company with moves that we would never have imagined, from customization to Widgets, through an opening of the operating system never seen before and why not say it… He brought an obnoxious stylus to Apple products!

According to Gurman:

There are mixed signals. The feeling inside Apple is that Cook is waiting for the launch of a disruptive new product, which could be virtual reality goggles or a car. In his view, Silicon Valley companies should be made up of young people, which is why he believes his time at Apple is almost up.

In August 2011, proposed by Steve Jobs himself, the current CEO of Apple took the baton and until then he has only managed to improve year after year. We agree that he does not have the magic that characterized Steve Jobs, but undoubtedly for the company’s executives and shareholders it will be difficult to match the work that Cook has done in this decade. We will see what will his departure bring to Apple…
