OPPO is developing what would be its first tablet, and from the leaked photo, it looks like a high-end model.
Android tablets have not been anywhere near the success that was expected when they began to be developed. The duality of use with cell phones, which grew a lot in screen diagonal, and the limited number of professional applications left these devices for mere multimedia consumption.
However, in recent weeks we are hearing rumors that several Chinese companies are preparing to launch their own, perhaps to try to reach the global market or perhaps to fill the gap left by Huawei.
A few weeks ago Xiaomi presented the new Mi Pad 5, and realme is also working on a model of its own. Now we have learned that OPPO is also interested in such devices.
OPPO is preparing a high-end tablet
The popular Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station has published on Weibo what looks like the first image of OPPO’s tablet.
It shows a fairly conventional design, but with very small bezels, and a high screen ratio. This makes us think that we are facing a model that will not be economical. Being OPPO, we would not expect anything else. The Chinese brand does not bet on price as the main selling factor, and it does not do badly in this way.
One of the best parts of this tablet is its software. OPPO is developing Color OS for Pad, a variant of the interface used in its cell phones, with its elements such as the presence of an application dock, like the one we have on computers, or the possibility of using widgets on the desktop.
