Microsoft is working on the final touches of Windows 11 and a new design for Paint has been leaked. This new operating system will be available in a few months, although anyone can already test it through the Windows Insider program. It will offer improvements in the user interface, workspaces, security, game execution and other sections, in addition to the debut of a new Windows Store that will include improvements for developers and Android applications.

Some of the most iconic applications that Microsoft usually includes as part of its operating systems will also be updated. A Reddit user has uncovered marketing material posted by the official Windows account that includes a photo of what appears to be a new modern version of Microsoft Paint that would be included in Windows 11.

Microsoft Paint is coming with a new design for Windows 11

MS Paint is the basic photo editor that has been included in all Windows since version 1.0 in 1985. It is like a symbol of Microsoft operating systems. Without major developments in recent years, the company has decided to give this application a new look.

In the Windows 10 Fall Creators, Paint remained free in the Microsoft Store for users who wanted to download it. The goal was to introduce the new Paint 3D and 3D Viewer applications.

Now this new Paint for Windows 11 comes as a modern version of the editor. The image shows a more polished user interface. The application seems to have aligned with the rest of the operating system. It has new icons, rounded color pickers, and a more attractive feel. It will also offer stylus support, which also makes sense in Microsoft’s strategy.

The new Paint was not included in the initial release of Windows 11 or in the updates that Microsoft has been releasing. We do not know if it will be included as one of the default applications that will be delivered with the final version of the system, but at least we know the company is preparing a new look for the iconic application.

There has not been a Windows user who has not used this image editor at some time and a new Paint for Windows 11 can be a good addition. Of course, it won’t be a professional editing tool, although, you will be able to handle your basic needs.
