The new Telegram beta now introduces the ability to share the screen during video calls with other users.
Telegram is one of the most popular messaging applications worldwide. It is an app that is constantly updated and recently they have been improving their group video calls. The new beta of the app introduces a new feature for video calls.
The ability to share a screen during video calls is now a reality in the new beta of Telegram for Android. In addition, they also allow you to change the playback speed of videos, as they already do with audio messages.
What’s new in Telegram?
It is Telegram beta v7.9.0 where these new features have been seen. The first of them is the ability to share the screen during video calls in the app. While this option is quite hidden in the app interface during a video call.
When in a video call, screen sharing is allowed. The app also allows us to choose whether we want to share the phone screen, the front camera, or the rear camera, so we have more control over what to share. This feature is in testing because it seems that in many cases it does not work and the call is terminated when trying to use it.
Another function that has been seen in this Telegram beta is to be able to modify the playback speed of videos, as is already the case with audio messages. The app would give us four options when playing a video sent to us: 0.2x, 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x, and 2x. So we can choose whether we want to watch that video faster or slower.
Telegram is working on allowing deletion of the message history of a particular chat when more than a month has passed since that chat ended. This option has also been seen in this beta number 7.9.
