FIFA 22 launched Thursday its gameplay with the official trailer, surprising from the beginning with its new Hypermotion engine.
This technology, as announced by EA Sports, improves the gaming experience of all matches, specifically on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series XS, and Stadia.
FIFA 22 gameplay and features
Among the new features, the developer highlights:
Advanced capture in 11 vs. 11 matches, thanks to the Xsens suits. This captures the movements of 22 professional soccer players playing at high intensity. The best thing is that, based on the performance of real people, it defines how the players move in the video.
Machine learning obtained information from more than 8.7 million frames of the advanced match capture. Interactions are therefore much more responsive.
AI tactics are also improved, understanding formations and movements more accurately.
You will be able to make six times more decisions per second when attacking, while in defense players will have an easier time covering empty spaces.
The fight for aerial balls also reaches another level, assuming the reality of the disputes, between collisions, fights, and jumps.
The naturalness and fluidity of touches were also improved. As EA Sports defines it, “more agility was achieved when catching low balls”, “using more strength in protection situations”.
Another difference with previous versions is that the player performance screen is much more specific, breaking down each key aspect of the match.
Meanwhile, explosive sprinting gives players more powerful acceleration, changing the dynamics in one-on-ones.
FUT Heroes, a new feature in FIFA 22
- Another feature is also born: FUT Heroes, with more players from the past such as Diego Milito, Jorge Campos, and Mario Gomez. “They possess a unique league-specific chemistry that is tied to their specific hero moment, generating a green link to any player within the same league and regular country,” EA notes.
The official release date for FIFA 22 is still unknown, but if you pre-order before August 11 you will be able to receive a non-transferable FUT Heroes player starting December 1. You can book at the following link.
Let’s remember that the Frenchman Kylian Mbappé, PSG star, repeats on the cover of the video game. We will be waiting for more information to know the launch of EA Sports’ creation.
