Marc Zuckerberg’s new thing is that he wants you to wear his social network on your glasses. The product he has in hand are new smart glasses that would come from a collaboration with Ray-Ban.

Mark Zuckerberg made an interesting announcement today. The creator of the most famous social network in the world, so much so that he even has a movie that narrates the birth of this platform and all the details of its origins, believes that the future of Facebook is to create smart glasses.

Yes, what Mark Zuckerberg has said is that they have in their launching calendar a pair of glasses. These glasses, moreover, would come thanks to the collaboration with a large company. The company chosen is Ray-Ban, more than known for its models and its journey.

The interesting thing about these glasses is that they would be smart and would have their functions. They would be compatible with augmented reality. Mark Zuckerberg has commented that this feature is of vital importance to create his “metaverse“.

Mark Zuckerberg’s “metaverse” would be a kind of virtual and real space, as it would mix the reality of life with elements of the digital world. On a marketing level, it makes a lot of sense, as the platform would be a kind of store, social network, and work area.

Much more doubts arise about what Mark Zuckerberg proposes since Facebook serves as a showcase for advertisers and if they now propose a hardware device such as glasses, advertising may also be an important part.

The announcement by the creator of Facebook was just that, he did not give more data about these new glasses. For the moment there is only one thing to do and that is to wait to know all the official data of his new product.

In addition, we will have to take into account the price of these smart glasses compatible with augmented reality. Being an almost innovative product, the price will most likely not be competitive. Although if the price tag is too high, users may be reluctant.
