They are practically the same, but what would be the point of launching a device the same. So, Google specifies that there are some differences between its two smart home assistants.
When you know the details, although both look the same, you can see that in reality there is a line that separates them. In this way, the second generation of Google’s assistant is worth acquiring. A statement that takes much more value once the price is detailed: they cost the same.
Comparison: The differences between Google Nest Mini and Google Home Mini
First of all, the screw that is integrated for the installation of the hardware on the wall, is more sustainable in the Nest Mini. In the Home Mini, remember, you had to have an additional accessory for this function.
Continuing with the details of the hardware of the equipment, the Home Mini has microphone mute and volume buttons, in physical. But in the case of the second generation of the Google assistant, although it maintains the physical forms, for the audio level controls it integrates sensors that turn on a light when the hand is approached. And in this way, it also activates the pause option.
Finally, before exposing the details in the sound, Google details that Nest Mini executes a more immediate response to commands, as it has a third microphone to capture the voice record.
About the audio of its speakers, the Nest Mini improves its 40 mm driver by 40 percent, with 360-degree sound. The device is still not an ideal choice for capturing the fidelity of music or movie sound. But at least they cared to elevate the quality of what they already had with the Home Mini.
