Google Maps and Maps Go: Which is better?

Google Maps is the most popular GPS application in the world, but there is also an alternative app designed by the same company called Maps Go.

Maps Go is a much lighter version that was created for cell phones that do not have so much capacity. The application was launched 7 years ago and since then it is widely used by those users who cannot have the main version.

It is obvious that Google Maps and Maps Go are totally different, and in this opportunity, we will explain some of the most interesting details that differentiate one from the other.

Differences between Google Maps and Maps Go

Google Maps and Maps Go: Which is better?

The first difference is that Maps has a menu where you can access all the functions of the application.

Maps Go, on the other hand, does not have a menu, since this version has GPS functions. Here it is not possible to navigate as in Maps.

Although Maps has a greater variety of functions, the disadvantage of this is that it requires a high-capacity cell phone for the application to have optimal performance. With Maps Go it is only possible to use the GPS functions, otherwise, you can not do anything else.

Another thing is that the Maps Go interface is much simpler than Maps. We are talking about a simple app for low-end phones. The good thing about this is that it takes up very little space, which saves memory on the phone, unlike Maps, which requires considerable storage space.

Which application is better? Obviously, Maps is much more complete, but at the same time, it requires a high-capacity phone to work properly.

But there are also users who do not use all its functions and are more suited to Maps Go because it only has what is necessary.
