Today we have learned that Google has opened a new Discord server for Fuchsia OS developers. Fuchsia OS has gone from being a secret project to become a public development. Since last December it has been open to third-party contributions.
Initially, discussions were set up on a series of Google email lists, and even through an IRC channel. Very recently, things have been changing along the way.
As proof of this, the tech giant has just opened an official server on Discord, making it an official place where developers and enthusiasts come together to discuss this operating system project.
The new Discord server of Google will become the official Fuchsia OS community
The Fuchsia team itself has announced the arrival of the Discord server through their own subreddit.
At the moment, the new Discord server has two established channels, one for general discussion of the operating system and another for discussions about the server itself, but the administrators will also be bringing new channels along the way.
The company is showing itself to be increasingly open with its new operating system, allowing the community to grow through the use of already consolidated communication platforms, such as Discord, which was originally known as a chat platform for gamers, but which over time has diversified, adopting other themes beyond the games.
Fuchsia OS released a new logo last week. The interesting thing is that the official Discord server of Fuchsia OS will be managed directly by Google workers, this will ensure the community to grow smoothly.
