Does using the mobile while charging damage the battery? This is one of the first doubts that every user has when charging their mobile device. In addition, many myths and legends are created around smartphones, and the truth is that in most cases they are unfounded. The same happens with the supposed steps we must follow when charging our new mobile or the simple fact of whether it is good or not to use the phone when we have it charging.

Surely many times you have seen possible recommendations that have made us doubt which ones are real and which ones are not. For this very reason, we want to put an end to this well-known myth, which has been raised by a large part of users who, today, continue to question whether they can use their smartphone when they have it charging.

Does using the mobile while charging damage the battery?

No doubt having a battery at all times has become essential. And not only that, but it is also sometimes necessary to have to use it while it is plugged into the power so that we can continue to use it. The main issue is that a majority of users are still afraid to do this for the simple fact that they do not want to damage the battery of their mobile device. However, the reality is quite the opposite.

Does using the mobile while charging damage the battery?

A few years ago we could consider this as a simple trick to make the life of this component last longer. However, today we will consider them as one more myth that is not going anywhere. This is because batteries, and mobiles in general, have evolved a lot over time.

So, using our smartphone while it is plugged into the power will not be bad. That is to say, it will be able to be used without any setback. The biggest problem in itself of using the phone while it is plugged in is the discomfort of the cable and also the fact that it could become hot because of it. And although in recent years we have seen several news stories with cases of people being electrocuted while talking on the phone when it was plugged into the power. The reality is that these events were caused by using chargers that were not the original ones and were of poor quality.

If you are one of those people who have the original one that comes with the product and it is of high quality, there should not be any problem. However, we must always take into account the recommendation of the different manufacturers of smartphones, which advise us to charge the phone for the first 10 minutes without using it. But, in short, there is no negative effect on the battery of the cell phone itself if you use it while it is connected to the power supply.
