MIUI 13 is the next major update to Xiaomi’s operating system, and these are the first phones to receive the update.
If the latest rumors do not fail, everything seems to point to the fact that you will be able to test the new features of MIUI 13 on your Xiaomi mobile in just a few weeks, provided you have one of the models compatible with the update.
A recent leak from China has revealed that Xiaomi plans to start rolling out MIUI 13 during August, spreading across much of the company’s mobile catalog, and even reaching some models with several years behind them.
Xiaomi phones that will receive MIUI 13 in August
Xiaomi wants to update to MIUI 13 up to eight different device families after the launch of the new version, which would be the following:
- Xiaomi Mi 11
- Xiaomi Mi 10
- Xiaomi Mi 9
- Xiaomi Redmi K40
- Xiaomi Redmi K30
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 10
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 9
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 8
But the models that make up those series are not the only ones that will update to MIUI 13. Leaked information indicates that Xiaomi has plans to update much older models, such as the Xiaomi Mi 6 launched in April 2017, and which to this day is still used by more than 2 million people according to data provided by the brand itself.
Of course, the most recent POCO and Redmi models will also receive the update, although they will probably do so later than the aforementioned models.
The arrival of MIUI 13 will occur simultaneously with the launch of the Xiaomi MI MIX 4, the next flagship device of the MIX series, which could debut the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus platform to become the most advanced smartphone launched by the company to date.
