Finally, we’ve learned that the popular social media, Instagram, is going to allow users to share links in their Stories. Surely you’ve wanted to post a link in one of your Instagram stories once. It’s a feature that many influencers and content creators use. This way with a swipe of a finger, users can access some external sites. Now, Instagram is testing a feature to make it possible for everyone to use this feature.

Instagram has started a test whereby a very small group of users currently have the ability to share links in their stories but in the form of stickers. Yes, the same stickers that we put in our stories to, for example, share songs.

You will be able to share links in an Instagram story soon

These stickers will work in the same way as swipe-up links. The difference is that instead of having to swipe up, users who want to go to the link will have to click on the sticker. The way to apply them to our stories is exactly the same as if we were putting any sticker in our stories.

This system, according to Vishal Shah (product manager of Instagram) is much more user-friendly, especially considering the type of use of users today.

Instagram will allow all users to share links in Stories
The company is still testing this feature for now.

The main problem lies in the fact that the ability to insert links in stories opens the door to the introduction of spam and misinformation, especially on a platform like Instagram that serves as a sales showcase for many users. The company assures that they will keep a close eye on what kind of links are shared in stories.

Unfortunately, we still don’t know when this feature will be available for everyone, so keep following our news for the latest updates.
