CS: GO has the most annoying bug which causes “Vac cannot be verified” error, but it has multiple solutions and we will tell you how to fix it in this article.
How to solve the error ”Vac cannot be verified” in CS: GO?
“VAC cannot verify game session” is a rather old but extremely disturbing error. This error can occur when searching for a game on Valve’s official servers. However, there is nothing to worry about unless the players facing the error are using some sort of unfair means to gain an advantage. Here are three fixes you can perform to correct this error.
Newly released patches are the most common reasons why this bug appears. Players can fix this problem by checking their game files. To do this, close the game application and head to Steam Library. Once there, right-click on the game “Counter-Strike: Global Offensive” and then click Properties in the menu. You will see a dialog box appear with different settings in the left pane. Choose Local files from there and click on the Verify integrity of game files option.
Update drivers
Sometimes a faulty or outdated driver can also generate VAC error messages. To update the drivers, go to the Settings option in Windows and select Update and Security. You will now need to click on the Check for updates option. Then open the Control Panel, click on Hardware and Sound and finally click on Device Manager. In the Device Manager settings, you can find various device drivers. A yellow exclamation mark will appear next to the defective or obsolete device. Updating and repairing the drivers may help eliminate the error.
Uninstall and reinstall CS: GO
If all of the above steps do not work, it might be a good idea to uninstall and reinstall the game from scratch to remove any instances of corrupt or tampered files.
