Battlefield 2042 was presented today and it is thanks to this that we bring you some things you should know about this new title.
Battlefield 2042 was announced today and it is thanks to it that we have seen a countless amount of reactions on the Internet, which makes us create this note with many of the things you should know about this game, which is also basically everything we know about this game as well.
I think it’s worth it that we start from the beginning with a very important point that everyone should know, something that although it seems like it’s quite obvious, it’s much deeper than it seems.
It’s not Battlefield V
Primarily we need to know that the fifth installment has now basically left its time of life behind. Of course, that doesn’t mean that they are going to shut down their servers, but this game, made in the year 2042 will be completely different from its predecessor.
Many people will be happy about this, thanks to the fact that Battlefield V was not very well received in general, for many reasons that we won’t talk about here, or else we’d never get around to it.
What is clear is that we have before us a completely new installment and there are some very interesting differences from its predecessor, from game modes to mechanics, because as you can see, this one is focused entirely on the future. A not too distant future.
Back to the classic
Mainly, this game will focus on big changes that will make mass combat feel much more interesting.
On PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5, Battlefield 2042 will be playable with up to 128 players, while on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 the player limit will be 64, plus the maps will be smaller.
Some of the maps that we will be able to see in the game will be South Korea, Qatar, Antarctica, Egypt, and Singapore.
There will also be a new approach to how classes are handled in the game since apart from having 10 different classes, we will be able to customize them to our liking. We have yet to see what awaits us in terms of customization, but for now, we know of 4 specialists of the 10 mentioned above:
- Recon
- Assault
- Support
- Engineer
So at least we can know that we are looking at something that will feel very familiar and at the same time, will bring big changes within this game.
Battlefield 2042 release date
The release date for this game will be October 22 of this year and best of all, presales are already available as of now, so you won’t have to wait long for it.
Also, it has been confirmed that gameplay and more details about this game will be shown on July 22 which is already approaching, so, likely, we will not see anything of this during E3 2021, but no problems, as there will be an EA Play event for this.
We still don’t know anything about a possible cross-play feature, but we’ll surely have more information on that later this year.
Honestly, we’re very excited to see what Battlefield V looks and plays like firsthand, and rest assured that as soon as we get our hands on it, we’ll be bringing you our review of this highly anticipated title for consoles and PC.
