During the SID 2021, Samsung Display has shown a video in which we see functional prototypes of smartphones with double folding screens, tablets of exaggerated dimensions that can be folded and transported, and laptops with folding screens.

As we see in the video that the company has shown at the SID Display Week expo have not been disappointed. We see a rollable device, an S-fold mobile, and much more.

The video leaves no doubt as to what the foldable device and its two-place folding system will look like. It can function as a smartphone and also be used as an alarm clock along with a base designed for that purpose.

We can also get an idea of what its rollable phone would look like, similar to the Oppo X 2021 that we have already been able to test for a few hours.

Samsung has also developed a notebook whose camera for video calls is located under the screen, in the purest ZTE Axon 20 style.

In the video, we can see how half of the foldable device displays a half-screen keyboard when in laptop mode while it becomes all-screen when used in tablet mode. It is more than likely that Samsung will end up offering some sort of physical keyboard accessory to make the laptop experience complete.

At the moment there is no announcement on whether these devices will reach the market, they are mere prototypes that leave evidence on how Samsung Display’s R&D department is working towards future devices.
