Android 12 and the radical change of its interface is seen in a big leak. Next Tuesday, May 18 kicks off the eagerly awaited Google I/O 2021. At its inaugural conference, Google will finally show us all the new features of Android 12 that have not yet been announced in its previews.
One of the enigmas of Android 12 is the interface. In early February it was leaked a radical change in its interface but then in Android 12 Developer Preview versions did not materialize, but a new leak shows us again this great redesign that the operating system will receive in its next major system update after several years with small changes in its interface.
This would be the interface of Android 12
With Android 12 it seems that all the components of Material Design are going to be renewed to give fresh and current air to Google’s mobile operating system.
Google is going to renew the design of switches, selectors, windows, dropdowns, buttons, windows, menus, widgets, alerts, notifications, settings, media player, and so on. It seems that the renovation is going to be complete.
The leak comes from the hand of Jon Prosser of the Front Page Tech channel on YouTube. He has posted a video with a great leak of Android 12, in which we would see some slides (minute 2:57) and small fragments of the promotional video (minute 6:30) of the new Android 12 interface.
In the video of the leak, we will see some screenshots of the new design of Android 12 components, such as notifications, the new design of the notification bar that seems that it will group in a pill our notifications, the new keyboard design or the calculator.
This new more minimalist and current interface would be compatible with a new system theme selector that would allow users to customize their colors and shapes of their icons and buttons, as it has been possible to do for a couple of years on the Pixel.
What is still a mystery is how will be the interface of the home screen, app drawer, and the view of open applications, whose design already depends on the application launcher interface of each manufacturer.
