Battlefield 6 won’t settle for PS5 and Xbox X Series. However, the versions for PC and next-generation consoles will be more advanced.
If you are a fan of the Battlefield saga and have not yet been able to leap to the new generation of consoles, then you are in luck. Today, Electronic Arts announced that the next installment of the series, the so-called Battlefield 6, will not only be coming to the most current platforms, such as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, as well as PC. It will also be released on the previous consoles, PS4 and Xbox One.
The confirmation came from EA’s CEO, Andrew Wilson, during the company’s shareholder meeting that took place today. Along with that, the executive added that he already got to see the game’s teaser trailer a few days ago and that he thought it looked amazing. He also said that the game will have everything that fans love about the series and that they are excited to show it off next month, as well as share more details about it over the summer.
EA’s chief financial officer, Blake Jorgensen, commented that the new Battlefield will look great in all versions, both on PC and on past and new generation consoles. However, and as expected, Jorgensen assures that it will be more spectacular on the most recent platforms. Electronic Arts promise that they will soon release more details about the game, which they plan to launch later this year during their third fiscal quarter, which corresponds to October to December 2021. Unfortunately, the company has not elaborated on the details of this installment.
Battlefield 6 will offer unique moments
Although so far there have been few details published about the game, recently the director of EA’s studios, Laura Miele, assured that this new Battlefield will be faithful to the saga, and will offer those unique moments that are only possible within the franchise. Now, and based on Wilson’s words, it seems that we will be able to verify this during June, the month in which this anticipated release will be revealed.
