A change in the design of the WhatsApp platform will transform the user experience when passing images.
WhatsApp is the most important instant messaging application due to the practical features it offers to users.
However, due to the growth of its competitors (such as Telegram and Signal), the Facebook-owned platform has been forced to optimize many of its functions and add new options.
The most recent change consists of a different preview of the images that are transferred by the instant messaging application.
Previewing images in WhatsApp
Through its official Twitter account, the application owned by Facebook informed that now images will be able to be seen more elongated depending on their measurements.
“Photos and videos on WhatsApp are now bigger, so no one will be left out of the picture! That’s a perfect reason to smile,” the quick messaging app mentioned on its Twitter account.
The images were previously seen with a 1.1 structure. That is, when a photo was sent, the user saw, before opening the image, a box with the visual element. Now they will be able to see the photo almost in its entirety in the chat.
At the moment, it has not been informed what will be the release date of this new update, which is expected to be available for both Android and iOS operating systems.
Reactions
In the comments on the social network of the little bird, many users applauded the work developed by the application owned by Facebook. However, others recalled the best advances shown by Telegram this year.
Previews on other platforms
Recently, the social network Twitter added in its mobile version, the possibility of previewing images vertically.
So more and more platforms are joining new design dynamics that adapt to users’ needs.
