Apple has just released the third beta version of iOS and iPadOS 14.6. These releases come several weeks after the previous version that focused on polishing some details. In this update, given the changes we have seen throughout the various beta versions, we expect rather few changes and focused on improving performance and polishing the occasional bug.
The third beta of iOS 14.6 and iPadOS 14.6 is now available for developersAfter the release of iOS and iPadOS 14.5, where we saw several interesting new features such as the arrival of the App Tracking Transparency, unlocking the iPhone with our Apple Watch, and compatibility with third-party controllers, now comes version 14.6. A version that focuses on polishing some details and improving performance before the release of iOS 15.
Recall that the next major version of the iPhone and iPad operating systems will be presented at the Worldwide Developers Conference during the second week of June. A version whose official release is scheduled for September and October.
If we want to enter the beta cycle we can do it by following these steps, but it is necessary to keep in mind that we are talking about versions under development that contain bugs.
Already in the beta cycle, you will find the update in the Settings app as an OTA update. During the first hours, Apple’s servers may receive more demand than usual, so the waiting time may be longer.
