If you don’t know how to find the serial number of an Apple Watch, we are going to help you out. Sometimes we need to have the serial number of our smartwatch at hand. Some technical services might ask for that number when you want to repair your device. Some time ago Apple stopped printing the serial numbers on the back of the iPhone and with the arrival of the Apple Watch Series 4, the same thing happened.
How to find the serial number of an Apple Watch?
Check the settings of the Apple Watch
You can go directly into the settings of the Apple Watch. This is probably the fastest method. Follow these steps:
- Open Settings
- Click on General.
- Tap on Information.
- Scroll down to find Serial Number.
Check the settings of the iPhone
If we do not have our Apple Watch with us we can also use our iPhone for the task. Just open the Watch app and follow these steps:
- Go to the My Watch tab.
- Click on General.
- Tap on Information.
- Enter the Serial Number section.
- Press and hold on to the number to copy it to the clipboard.
It might be on the Apple Watch
Although Apple removed the serial number from the back of the watch, this information is still physically available on the watch, we just need to know where to look for it.
- Place the Apple Watch upside down.
- Buttons should be facing to the left.
- Remove the strap that remains on the top of the watch.
- You will be able to see that in the indentation where the strap is housed, the serial number is written.
