The third beta of tvOS 14.6 is now available for developers. After the previous version that we enjoyed just over two weeks ago, the Cupertino developers have released the third version that should focus on performance improvements and bug fixes rather than new features.
Along with the release of the third beta of iOS and iPadOS 14.6 Apple has presented the tvOS 14.6 updates. We do not expect anything new, especially if we consider that tvOS within cycle 14 in which we find ourselves has not received appreciable changes.
What we do expect is the correction of some small bugs and to improve the overall performance of the devices. A version that should be the last of tvOS 14 before the launch of tvOS 15, which will be presented at WWDC21, and should arrive in the official version before September.
If we want to enter the beta cycle we can do so by following these steps, but it is necessary to keep in mind that we are talking about versions under development that contain bugs.
Already in the beta cycle, you will find the update in the Settings app as an OTA update. During the first hours, Apple’s servers may receive more demand than usual, so the waiting time may be longer.
