If you are a Spotify Premium user, get ready to pay more for your subscription because the company is raising prices in Europe. It has started informing users about a price increase, which seems to affect people living in European countries, as well as Spotify users in the UK.
In the email sent to users, the platform warns about a rise between 1 and 3 euros depending on the subscription plan. In addition, they point out that this increase will take effect from June 2021.
Spotify to raise prices in Europe
There are several users who, in recent hours, have received the mail informing the price increase. The new prices will be as follows:
UK:
- Student: £4.99 > £5.99 (+£1)
- Duo: £12.99 > £13.99 (+£1)
- Family: £14.99 > £16.99 (+£2)
EU:
Student: €4.99 > €5.99 (+€1)
Duo: €11.99 > €12.99 (+€1)
Family: €14.99 > €17.99 (+€3)
US:
Family: $14.99 > $15.99 (+$1)
The price change affects both existing users and new subscribers. In fact, new Premium users will see this increase applied at the end of April, instead of in June.
