An Internet user called Nicolás David Kuroña was able to buy Google’s Argentina domain name from NIC Argentina for $3. It was not the first time the company forgot to renew an important domain, the same situation had already happened some time ago in India with its Blogspot address for the Asian country, although it was a mistake that was quickly solved.

Anyway, many users noticed the problem, as searches from the local domain for Argentina were inaccessible for a while, this problem did not affect access to the global address of google.com.

The fact is that Nicolás David Kuroña was somehow able to buy the domain google.com.ar, as he himself said in his Twitter account in an absolutely legal way. After all, it was available at NIC Argentina, although many questions remain in the air because none of those involved have wanted to comment on the incident.

What is known is that the domain did not work for a short period of time, as the problem was solved very quickly by those involved.

In this case, everything suggests a mistake made by the domain registrar, since the user was able to buy google.com.ar in a totally legal way. The domain in question will expire in July this year.

We do not know if there will be more chapters in this story, but we would certainly like to know how Nicolás David Kuroña was able to see the domain as available for purchase.
