Instagram launches Remix, a feature similar to TikTok Duets and the platform will now allow you to interact with other Reels by recording reactions or collaborations on the side.

As of today, the new Remix feature for Instagram Reels is now available, which allows you to record your reels alongside someone else’s. If the feature sounds familiar, it’s because it works similarly to TikTok’s popular Duets option.
In a video, Instagram explained how to use the new feature, which will be enabled by default on all posted Reels.
In the three-dot context menu, the Remix option is selected and you can record in real-time alongside the original Reel. Also, on the left side, there are some options to edit the final product and make it ready for publication.

As in TikTok, the feature can be used to make reactions, collaborate with other creators or simply highlight a Reel you like. It is worth noting that Snapchat would also be working on a similar feature that would also be called Remix.
Instagram’s Remix will start rolling out today, although it will only be available for new Reels.
