The Queen Sofia Foundation has started a campaign to raise awareness for neurodegenerative diseases using deepfake Salvador Dalí.
For this occasion, thanks to AI techniques, the campaign delves into the following message: What if in addition to advancing so much in AI to revive characters, make concerts with deceased celebrities, or important applications in other areas, we also use Natural Intelligence to overcome these neurodegenerative diseases?
The year 2020 has been the International Year of Research and Innovation in Neurodegenerative Diseases. This event was carried out by the Queen Sofia Foundation and the CIEN Foundation, but due to the onset of the pandemic, it had to be put on hold.
Due to its importance, the Courts extended the event to the years 2021 and 2022, calling the event “Neuro 2020/22” and resuming activities for the benefit of research on these diseases. The launch of this campaign is the starting signal for the Neuro 2020/22 period.
The campaign aims to raise awareness for neurodegenerative diseases
With this campaign, the Queen Sofia Foundation, thanks to the image of the painter authorized selflessly for this cause by the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation, seeks to give greater visibility and help raise awareness of the need for research into diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s Disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or Parkinson’s, a disease suffered by Dalí himself, among others.
“Natural Intelligence” campaign can be seen on the Queen Sofia Foundation’s website and, later on, will also be broadcasted on television.
