Facebook is giving users more privacy tools and control opportunities over the content in addition to an updated news feed. From now on the social media makes it easier to choose who can comment on each published post. In addition, it is now possible to give higher priority to a user’s favorite posts on the wall.

Users of the social network can easily choose who will comment on their posts

The most absurd memes and virals are all over the place, there are countless spam comments and even some dangerous links. Facebook is aware of this and now they are taking some extra measures to prevent such issues.

Facebook unveiled the new features coming to its mobile applications. Thanks to the new management and control tools, users of the social network can easily choose who will comment on their posts. This makes it much easier for users to protect themselves against unwanted comments.

With the new privacy option, Facebook allows restricting comments to everyone who reads the article, only to friends or to those who are mentioned in the post. This way we gain control over what they can say about everything we share; thus avoiding possible derogatory comments.

You can give your favorite profiles priority on the news feed

In addition to the commenting options, Facebook launches a new content manager within its applications. Thanks to the wall filter, it is possible to choose more precisely what we see in the news section; users will have the ability to choose up to 30 friends and pages as favorites. Everything those favorite profiles publish will have greater priority on the wall, it is perfect for avoiding unwanted and low-quality content.

The new features are already appearing in Facebook’s mobile applications. If you are unable to use them make sure your application is up to date.
