Today we were able to see Samsung’s next moves, the company is reportedly working on a 200MP camera sensor for its smartphones. They showed their plans through a tweet, get ready for a smartphone with six cameras.

“Dear shutterbug, what do you expect the most from smartphone camera?” A glimpse of a new multi-sensor photo module can be seen in the video, with text announcing a gigantic 200MP resolution and a six-camera configuration. They even showed a dual front camera setup in the teaser.

Samsung will release a new 200MP smartphone camera sensor

Obviously, the brand is pushing its limits thanks to the Exynos chipset, they seek to improve image processing with their own brand. A couple of months ago we were able to learn that the South Korean giant was preparing a new ISOCELL image sensor thanks to leaks.

The most interesting thing is that Samsung does not seem to be the first manufacturer to make a leap to 200MP, also ZTE Axon 30 Pro should be presented very soon with a hypothetical 200MP S5KGND main sensor.

The truth is that ZTE has already announced options such as dual native ISO, or 16K video support, in addition to binning, which would allow reducing the resolution to 12.5MP to take better lit pictures in low light conditions.

It should also be noted that the Exynos 2100 in the Galaxy S21 already supports up to 6 sensors with a 200MP main camera, so perhaps ZTE also will use a Samsung chipset.
