Samsung plans to seriously invest in foldable smartphones, the company reportedly works on a new Galaxy Fold that folds twice.
While it is true that the foldable smartphones we dreamed of years ago have already become a reality, there are manufacturers that focus on the new form factors a lot more, like Samsung. Undoubtedly, the manufacturer with the most weight in this regard is Samsung, one of the first firms to launch a whole range of devices of this style.
And they will not be the only ones. Samsung is not only planning to continue investing in this sector but also it is preparing new foldable models. One of them will be able to fold twice.
A new Samsung Galaxy Fold that folds twice is on the way
This news contrasts sharply with the latest statements by Samsung CEO Koh Dong-jin in which he assured that this year there would probably not be a Samsung Galaxy Note. Some sources specify that Samsung is planning to seriously increase the production of its foldable phones.
These sources also ensure that in addition to Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Flip series there will be a third model that folds twice. Something similar to what we saw in the TCL concepts.
All these phones will arrive by the end of the year and some people within the industry rumor that there will not be a new Note model due to supply shortages. Obviously, foldables sell much less than regular phones, so components should be no problem.
This same source assures that the temporary suspension of the Note range was decided last year, in view of the expectations of the crisis we are now suffering. This way, Samsung can focus on the foldable range more easily.
