The Vivo Y72 5G arrives as a new mobile for the masses, 5G, with an adjusted price, 64MP camera, and a large battery that supports 18W quick charging as main assets to try to capture its audience. With MediaTek Dimensity 700, it is a mid-range 5G mobile without too many boasts.

A 5G mobile with a 64MP triple camera
Since Vivo officially arrived worldwide, the renewal of its catalog takes on greater interest because we do not know which of them will cross the Great Wall. Precisely, one of the first Vivo phones we saw here was the Vivo Y70, whose spiritual heir could well be the new Vivo Y72 5G, now with 5G connectivity.
The 5G is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 700, accompanied by 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, expandable with a MicroSD card. The phone repeats the same design philosophy of other models, with a front where the screen takes center stage.
We have a 6.58-inch diagonal LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution that has the same 60 Hz refresh rate as always and is crowned with a notch in the shape of a drop. In said notch is the camera for selfies, with a resolution of 16MP.

Behind, the Vivo Y72 5G incorporates a triple camera in a module that gives all the prominence to the two main sensors: It is a 64MP sensor with f/1.79 aperture and an 8MP wide-angle, accompanied by a third macro sensor, of 2MP.
The Vivo Y72 5G joins the trend of incorporating a 5,000mAh battery that is complemented with support of 18W quick charging. It has a fingerprint reader on one of the sides, a USB-C connector, minijack, and FM radio.

Vivo has presented the Vivo Y72 5G first in Thailand and, for the moment, we do not know if it will be one of the models that will be sold in Europe. There it is available in a single version and two colors: Black and Dream Glow and a price of 9,999 Thai baht, which is around $322.
