Opera has updated its browser for iOS and iPadOS with a redesign. What is now simply called Opera is a browser that has received a “cleaner and flatter design” in keeping with its vocation as a light and fast app.
Opera updates its browser for iPhone and iPad with a major redesign and new features
The Opera browser for the iPhone and iPad has been postulated since almost its launch as a powerful and versatile alternative at the same time as light and simple. In this sense, the redesign that the company has now given to the application is in line with this intention.
The renewal of Opera’s user interface also features a cleaner and flatter design that gives the browser a more refined look than before. The new-look replaces the diagonal background pattern, initially introduced in Opera Touch, with flat surfaces and eliminates shadows on bubbles and other elements.
New icons have been added to the bar at the bottom of the screen and to the quick action button that, with one hand, we can use to perform different actions and access our main favorites. Along with the redesign, the company has added a new feature called Flow that allows, via a QR code, to securely communicate the mobile browser with the Mac version.
Opera has announced that users of the browser have increased 65% since February 2020, as it continues to add features to the app such as an integrated Ethereum wallet, ad blocker, and cryptocurrency mining protection.
As in many matters, choosing a browser is a very personal thing. While many of us prefer Safari, for its deep system integration and superb tracking protections, other third-party options, such as this one, offer curious and useful alternative experiences.
