Motorola Moto G8 and Moto G8 Power is updated to Android 11. The major manufacturers continue to launch phones month after month and Motorola is no exception. But that does not make them leave aside models from other years, which are receiving operating system updates.
According to several users in Colombia, these two 2020 models are receiving the final version of Android 11. We are not talking about a beta or test version OTA, but the final version.
It is striking to see how these models are updated even before other more current members of this family, such as the Moto G9 Plus. Both models are indeed on the list published by Motorola a few weeks ago, but there are also more recent models.
The presence of the Moto G8 Plus was also missed on that list, and for now, there are no reports of it being updated.
The firmware, with version number RPE31.Q4U-47-35, includes all the new features of Android 11 and also the update to the February 2021 system security patches.
As for the system changes, as Motorola uses an almost pure version of Android they will be the same as we saw in models from Google or Vivo, for example.
