Nubia presented a new gaming mobile phone series called Red Magic 6 and today we are going to talk about its specs, price, and release date. The company has just made the new Red Magic 6 series smartphones official. There are two different models called Red Magic 6 and Red Magic 6 Pro, which share virtually all the features except for the RAM and battery capacity. We especially should be highlighting its 165Hz AMOLED screen.
Nubia Red Magic 6 specs
It has a monstrous AMOLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate. As expected in high-end ranges, the fingerprint sensor is also integrated into the screen, which boasts a 6.8″ size and offers the standard FullHD+ resolution.
The base model features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 processor. It has three variants:
- 8GB LPDDR5 RAM – 128GB UFS 3.1 storage
- 12GB LPDDR5 RAM – 128GB UFS 3.1 storage
- 12GB LPDDR5 RAM – 256GB UFS 3.1 storage
But you can also go for a Red Magic 6 Pro which has the same processor with two variants:
- 16GB LPDDR5 RAM – 256GB UFS 3.1 storage
- 16GB LPDDR5 RAM – 512GB UFS 3.1 storage
It features an 8MP front camera, located on the top frame. Also on the back, there’s a triple camera setup with a 64MP main camera followed by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro camera.
Nubia Red Magic 6 also carries a 5,050mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging while the Pro model goes further with a slightly lower capacity 4,500mAh battery but with support for a superior 120W fast-charging system.
These phones surely support 5G connectivity and have Bluetooth 5.1 and WiFi 6. They have dual speakers, dual GPS, headphone jack; and being gaming smartphones, they have a powerful cooling system, called ICE 6.0, which according to the company, “combines a vapor chamber, aviation grade thermal transfer metals, graphite, copper coils, a high speed turbofan, and a wind tunnel.”
At this point, we have to say that the fan of the Pro model reaches up to 20,000RPM, while the standard version reaches up to 18,000RPM.
There are also four triggers on different corners, facilitating access to the features of the games. Finally, it will come with RedMagic OS 4.0 based on Android 11.
Nubia Red Magic 6 price and release date
Nubia Red Magic 6 will go on sale in China first, the official price for the base model is 3.799 yuan (about $585), it should be available worldwide soon.
