Microsoft pressed the button, the company has started forced installation of Windows 10 20H2 update. In order for the latest operating system update to reach more devices, now all those with a version equal to or later than Windows 10 1809 can manually update by visiting the “Windows Update” section.
Microsoft is forcing Windows 10 20H2 update
The company is repeating the same move it already carried out with the forced deployment of Windows 10 2004. In this case, the latest update will reach computers running versions of Windows 10 that are about to reach their operating system version support limit.
To determine the “beneficiaries” of this upgrade, the company is “using Machine Learning-based training” to determine which devices are nearing the end of service to automatically upgrade them to Windows 10 in version 20H2.
It should be remembered that with Windows 10 2004, Microsoft already warned users with non-compatible equipment, so if your computer is among the possible candidates to receive this update but you do not receive it, you should check for compatibility.
Microsoft makes it clear that the most immediate updates will reach those who have Windows 10 in version 1809 and some of the variants such as Enterprise, Education, IoT Enterprise, Windows 10 in version 1909 (Home, Pro, Pro Education, Pro for workstations).
